I had a rare cinema trip last week to see a feel good running film and here is my review:
Lenora Crichlow is very convincing as Shania ( a big change from ghost Annie in Being Human) a sprinter who lives in a rough neighbourhood who qualifies for the World Championships 2011 using a deserted track to train on under the watchful eye of her shop keeper coach and his dog Linford (loved that name)
It’s an easy watch and you can read the film easily, the rivalry between Shania and her wealthier counterpart Lisa played by Lilly James does become frustrating, though if you have watched enough sports dramas, you know from old it will all come good in the end.
The film ended with my wanting to cheer as if I was at the actual event and sprint off out of the Cinema. ( I am very over excitable)
If you want a feel good watch then this ones for you !
🙂 Happy Running Happy Runners 🙂
