Running at Night – Poem

The suns going down and I’m going out
Someone tell the neighbours
That crazy runner is about
The owls chorus is the tune I listen to
The odd ache and pain are easy to run through
The cool countryside breeze is blowing through my hair
I run down the lanes no worries, not a care
Not another person anywhere to be seen
Well it is Friday night,
You’ve got to be crazy, or just keen
The moon is not shining
But the stars are shining bright
Its great to run alone as the day turns into night
