20 things about my Gloucester 20 experience!!

1. I travelled there in style on Douggies mean machine


2. Arrived in time in one piece and in the sunshine

3. Picked up my race number and a nice pink technical T that fits

4. Had a pleasant little warm up with club mates in the sun

5. Started like a rocket

6. The sun was still shinning

7. I began to slow down

8. Water was in cups which made it hard to drink

9. At 9-10 miles just before the water station I had to STOP

10. I began to hyperventilate

11. I met two lovely St Johns volunteers Debbie and Mick

12. I sat down, drank and recovered and in 10-15 mins I started again

13. I got to run with my own St John of the Bourton Roadrunners

15. I recovered some more and my pace improved again

16. The support on the route from Doug and Team Bourton kept me going for I the finish


18. A nice cool shower and it’s another 20 done

19. Sunday lunch
