I’m tired, my legs ache, my head aces, I’m grouchy, I’m restless and just don’t feel like I’m recovering enough to train hard when I need to. 

If I heard this from an athlete I know exactly what I would say, ” it sounds like you’re over training and you need to take some time off.  Have a physical break but equally as important  a “mental break”

So why when its me saying these things do I struggle to take my own advice?  because the thought of not running makes me anxious.  How long can I not run for before it impacts on my fitness?

Well time to do the best by my body and find out the answers to my anxious questions.  I hereby bow out of Juneathon to have a week off.  I will return to running with a 10k race at Frampton on Severn on the 4th July!!
