I received this text this week from a runner doing there first 10k race on Sunday
Little bit panicky as I haven’t been able to run all week as I’ve been poorly with a nasty cold 😬😫
I phoned back and here was my advice:
Do not worry, if you’re starting to feel better now you’ll be fab. You have done all your training and you know you can run beyond the distance. You will not have lost any fitness in the few days you have not been able to run. Treat it like a rest for the race and go out there and enjoy it!!
